The Best Firm: Recovery Season

About the book

The missing don't stay missing.

One night overseas, Summer Best was ordered to walk away from a trafficked girl. She obeyed. She has never obeyed that order again.

Navy intelligence. CIA. Now Summer runs her own quiet operation in Atlanta, and her crew is family: her mother Odessa, thirty years a spy; her husband Darnell, who can get into any system from a basement that used to be a bank vault; and Q, a Navy master at arms who drives.

Sixteen year old Kiara Holmes is gone, and the police filed her as a runaway. The trail runs to Clayton Voss, Atlanta's favorite philanthropist, and to every girl he controls. In 79 days, they disappear for good.

Summer calls in everyone she trusts. That's the problem. One of them is working for the other side.

For fans of S. A. Cosby, Yasmin Angoe and Lauren Wilkinson's American Spy: a pulse pounding Black family thriller with a grown, funny, steamy marriage at its heart.

Told with survivors at the center. Abuse is never shown on the page, and the bedroom door closes before anything explicit.

The Best Firm series begins here. An MM3 Story.
